Finalmente el huracán no se alejó tanto como 300.-Km de donde estamos, pero tampoco pasó según las previsiones iniciales. Lo tuvimos a unos 150.-Km de distancia y pudimos tener vientos de unos 90.-Km/h de media, aunque venían ráfagas realmente fuertes en algunos momentos. Siendo los vientos de los huracanes de categoría 1 de unos 130.-Km/h la verdad es que puede ser algo realmente inquietante y sorprendente a la vez. La fotos fueron tomadas aproximadamente 6 horas antes de la llegada del frente, con una velocidad del viento de unos 60.-Km/h, cuatro horas más tarde la cosa cambió bastante pero al ser de noche no pude tomar fotografías.
Finally, the hurricane was not at 200.-miles away from us, but neither went according to initial estimates. We had it about 150.-km away and we had winds of about 60.-mph on average, but really heavies at times. Knowing that the winds of the category 1 hurricanes are about 85.-mph, the truth is that it can be really disturbing and surprising at a time. The photos were taken about 6 hours before the arrival of the front, with a wind speed of about 40.-mph, four hours later, things changed a lot but because of the night I could not take some pictures.
